Mr. Hariram Garg :
Founder & Chairman Meet
Mr. Hariram Garg,
a planter in the real
sense of the word, the
founder of the group,
was born and brought up
in the very heart of the
tea belt in Northern
India. The vast expanse
of the lush tea gardens
fascinated him since his
early childhood. He
gained great insight
into the nature of tea-
its cultivation and
manufacture.
Not content with blindly
following age-old
practices, H.R. Garg
sought new techniques
and modern methods of
cultivation while
retaining the effective
ones to improve quality
and increase
productivity. He set up
new tea plantation on
virgin land and
replanted the older
sections.
Inspired by his passion
and foresight, the
company progressed , not
only manufacturing
quality |

teas but also
procuring, blending and
packaging some of the finest tea
blends. He created a company
culture that is an amalgam of
the old and the new, combining
traditional values with modern
technology - always quick to
take advantage of technological
advancements, emphasising the need for
product excellence
coupled with
eco-friendliness and
hygiene.
The group has
grown from tea plantation to tea
exports and other activities
like marketing and distribution
of various commodities and real
estate development. |

Mr. Sunil Garg :
Executive Director
Mr. Sunil Garg, Aged
about 41 years is a
commerce graduate from
Calcutta University.
Actively involved in
developing the
international trade of
the Company having over
20 years experience in
business, he first
started marketing and
distribution of agro
inputs for the tea
industry. He was closely
associated as
distributor for several
internationally renowned
multinational companies
and traveled abroad for
conferences and
meetings. With his long
exposure to the tea
industry and to
multinational companies,
he has developed a rare
insight into the
functioning of the tea
industry as well as
international trade
which is now valuable in
the growth of the
Company. |

Mr. C.S.
Surana, Aged about 61 years
is a commerce graduate, having
more than 37 years experience in
managing tea gardens and
production of tea. He has vast
experience in finance & accounts
as well which is beneficial for
the growth of the Company. |

Mr. A.K.
Sengupta, He is B. Sc (H) in
Geology aged about 82 years, is
a soil scientist with 35 years
of experience in research and
development work related to soil
study and usage of fertilizer
and tea plantations. He served
as a scientist in Tea Research
Association (TRA) over three
decades. He has also served as
honorary advisor of Pyrites,
Phosphates and Chemicals Limited
a Govt. of India undertaking. He
was also associated with many
reputed teahouses in Assam and
North Bengal including
Williamson Magor, Mcleod Russel,
Jayshree Tea, Octavius Tea, Tata
Tea and Andrew Yule. |

Prof.
B.C.Ghosh, Aged about 58
years is a professor of IIT
Kharagpur, having more than 25
years experience in research &
development work which is
beneficial for the growth of the
Company. |

Mr.
Lakshman Sriniwasan, Aged
about 45 years is a Post
Graduate in Business Management
(PGDBM) from Calcutta
University. He has vast
experience in finance & general
corporate affairs and has been
associated with various renowned
companies in the top management
position. |

Mr. Mohit
Agarwal, Age 36 years, has
extensive knowledge about tea.
He started with a leading tea
production and export company
and learnt about the basic art
of tea tasting, quality and
blending from the grass root
level on the floor of the tea
factory and tea blending plant.
Having 18 years of experience in
tasting, he has mastered the art
of tea tasting and blending.
Having traveled extensively
around the world, he has gained
vast experience on different
world tea markets. |

Jha, Age 37 years, is MBA
(Finance) an associate member of
The Institute of company
secretaries of India. He has
more than 15 years of working
experience in Finance &
Accounts, corporate laws,
Administration and other legal
matters. He has worked with
Electrosteel Castings Ltd.
before joining the Company. |
